Republic Bank (Guyana) Limited has announced that 17 persons are the latest beneficiaries of its Commercial Customer Business Programme.
A release from the bank said that Republic Bank’s collaboration with the University of West Indies, Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business resulted in the Republic Bank Commercial Customer Business Programme being offered since September 2010.
Through this programme, Republic Bank seeks to create a network of business professionals equipped with the tools to enhance their businesses and improve productivity. The programme was designed to prepare participants for successful planning, organising, and operating small to medium sized businesses in various sectors within the economy.
The release said that specially selected customers benefited from training aimed at improving their ability to assess and understand the business environment to effectively drive and implement their business strategy, receive financial management tips and techniques and marketing advice.
The fourth programme was held over five days during the period of October 8 to October 31, 2013, at Republic Bank’s Head Office, Promenade Court.
The seminar’s facilitators included Hilary Bengochea, Natasha Subero and Nigel Chinapoo, all faculty of the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business, University of West Indies.
The closing ceremony was held on October 31, 2013, where 17 participants received certificates, the release added.
