A South Ruimveldt Gardens man was yesterday accused of being one of five men who attacked and robbed a businessman who was searching for a friend in the area.
It is alleged that on November 16, at South Ruimveldt Gardens, being in the company of others and armed with a gun, Nelson Pratt robbed Taharka Brathwaite of $47,000.
Pratt, who was represented by attorney Fung-A-Fat, was not required to plead to the indictable charge when it was read against him yesterday at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court. It is the police’s case that on November 16, at 10:30am, Brathwaite went to South Ruimveldt Gardens to search for a friend. He stopped at Brian Boyce,
