Swim sensation Amy Grant continues to better her performances with every meet. Competing in the 50 metres freestyle and backstroke events at the National Schools Swim-ming Championships on Tuesday at Castellani Pool, Grant grabbed gold medals in the 50m freestyle and backstroke events.
In the 50m freestyle race she clocked 33.30s and 38.81s in the 50m backstroke event.
The 11-year-old St Roses High School form one student’s performance along with other outstanding performances from Olympian Britany van lange, Naomi King, Onika George, Accalia Khan and Jamila Sanmoogan helped North Georgetown retain the championship title.
The times were also an improvement on the times she did in July at the Guyana Amateur Swim-ming Association (GASA) meet where she clocked 34.22s in the 50m freestyle event and 43.21s in the 50m backstroke event.
