Lucky escape: This taxi, HB 4348, was ripped to shreds yesterday morning at De Kinderen, East Bank Essequibo when a truck driver fell asleep and slammed into the car and another vehicle. However, no one was injured in the accident. According to eyewitnesses at the scene, the taxi driver swerved into the roadside seconds before the truck hit the vehicle.
