The Indian Education Trust College/Richard Ishmael Secondary Old Students Association presented a computer and a number of trophies to the school, on two separate occasions last week.
According to a press release, on Monday the group presented a computer to be used primarily for the ongoing library upgrade project at the school. Over 350 titles in various subject areas have also been donated to the library.
In addition, at the annual graduation and thanksgiving exercise held last Thursday, the association donated a number of trophies and all of the lower school prizes comprising a gift voucher, a cup and certificate of achievement.
The association also congratulated all the graduates. The group also honoured valedictorian Andrea Andrews of Moraikobai (St Francis Mission) who overcame many obstacles to obtain ten subjects at the CXC exams, including five grade ones.
The association’s executive committee also extended gratitude to Crown Mining, Hibiscus Restaurant and Lounge, Trophy Stall and the past students who donated.
