It is alleged that Richard Sewnarine, 22,used abusive language on Melissa Sewnarine at their Lot 17 Dowding Street, Kitty home on December 2.
Sewnarine’s lawyer Paul Fung-a-Fat, however, told Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts that the accused’s wife did not wish to offer any evidence against her husband.
After no objection from police prosecutor Bharat Mangru, the Chief Magistrate placed Sewnarine on a bond to keep the peace. He was also sent on his own recogisance.
The case will be heard on December 6 at Court 6 at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
