Dear Editor,
Perhaps the best homage that can be paid to Nelson Mandela (Madiba) is the one paid by Albert Einstein to Mahatma Gandhi: “Generations to come, it may be, will scarce believe that such a one as this even in flesh and blood walked upon this earth.”
Indeed within less than a century mankind has been so gifted that two literal giants walked the earth and left us with legacies that reflect the sublime in human aspirations and the divine in human attitudes. And between them came another one who walked not far behind in the form of Martin Luther King. For those of us who have lived in the era of MLK and Madiba what blessings indeed. Like Gandhi and MLK, Madiba now walks with gods.
Yours faithfully,
Annan Boodram
