A jet-man who works in the interior was yesterday placed on bail for the smoking of cannabis when he appeared before Magistrate Sunil Scarce at the Charity Magistrate’s Court.
It is alleged that on December 7, Rolyn George, 27, of Westbury smoked cannabis. He pleaded not guilty to the charge.
His attorney Hemraj Rajkumar told the court that his client was going to the urinal at his residence when the police went and searched and found the cannabis on the ground. They told him he was suspected of having smoked same, the attorney said.
There being no objection by Prosecutor Krishnadat Ramana, the accused was placed on $80,000 bail and will return to court at Charity on January 6.
