Former Miss Guyana World Olive Gopaul is introducing new flavours and dishes to the local cuisine via her new television show “Cooking with Olive” which debuted on NCN Channel 11 on Wednesday.
Gopaul and renowned Canadian chef Antonio Da Silva will be preparing healthy, affordable, family-style meals on camera with the aim of expanding local palates. Da Silva, who has 13 years experience at five star hotels in Canada will also be preparing dishes from other parts of the world such as Mexico, Italy and India, a press release said.
“Cooking with Olive” premiered on the National Communications Network (NCN) on December 11 at 10.30am. Each episode will be rebroadcast on Television Guyana (TVG) Channel 28 on Fridays at 9.30am and on Hoyte Blackman Television (HBTV) Channel 9 on Saturdays at 2pm.
The first season of the show is expected to comprise 16 episodes.

Gopaul has hosted several other television shows including Eldorado Shines, the Olive Gopaul Show and Inside the Government and was a television news anchor.
