Giftland OfficeMax teamed up with the US Embassy

Giftland OfficeMax teamed up with the US Embassy, Humanitarian Assistance Program (HAP) and the Benschop Foundation to brighten the holiday season for children and give them a head start on their stationery needs for the new school year. Giftland and the US HAP provided over $200,000 in stationery: notebooks, backpacks, pens, coloured pencils, sharpeners, scissors, tape, and glue sticks, for hundreds of primary and secondary school students in Matthew’s Ridge, Region One. In addition, a Christmas tree, decorations, sweets and treats were donated to the school in Baramita to ensure that the children of this Ameridian community enjoyed a very special Christmas. HAP representative Mr Stephenson extended gratitude to the store for its partnership in the project and extended best wishes for its success in future endeavours. Meanwhile, the Benschop Foundation is assembling gifts for children from the toys, confectionary, activity books, puzzles and Christmas decorations donated by Giftland. Benschop thanked the management and staff of Giftland for their continued support to the Mark Benschop Foundation over the years. Also, two Sundays ago the store conducted an exercise aimed at putting smiles on the faces of children in Tiger Bay at School of the Nations. Last year the Water & Holmes streets based company provided 12 orphanages with hampers under the theme ‘Giftland Cares’ and this year intends to mirror that, its public relations manager said.
