The man accused of the November 2012 murder of Winston Ragnauth called ‘Tony’ was held last week at Agricola.
Carlton Akeem Bourne of Liver-pool, Corentyne, Berbice was handed over to investigators in ‘B’ Division and is currently at the Whim Police Station.
Ragnauth’s wife Zira Ragnauth said yesterday that the family was relieved at the arrest and “would have to wait and see” if justice would be served.
On July 8, police had issued a warrant for Bourne’s arrest.
Ragnauth’s body was found on November 7, 2012, with his throat slit at his home at Whim; his grocery shop had been broken into.
