A Kwakwani man was fatally stabbed on Christmas night after he was involved in an argument with a man at a night spot.
Dead is Marlon Sam, 33, of Kwakwani Park, Berbice River. Sam was a former teacher at theKwakwani Primary and Secondary Schools.
His sister told Stabroek News that she last saw him earlier that evening. “I last saw him about 7pm…He left alone and around 10pm we heard that he got stabbed and was on the verge of dying.”
A release from the police said at about 2300h on Christmas night, Sam was at a night spot when he became involved in an argument with a man during which he was stabbed to his chest. He was pronounced DOA at the Kwakwani Hospital.
The suspect has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with investigations.
Sam leaves to mourn a child and other relatives.
