Courts (Guyana) is scheduled to launch their online sales website in January 2014, according to Director of Marketing, Molly Hassan.
While a precise date for the launching of the website has not been set as yet, Guyanese will soon enough benefit from this new courts expansion. The website is expected to be an expansion of the items that are already available at stores across Guyana, says Hassan. She further stated that Courts seeks to target consumers with a busy lifestyle who are unable to spend time shopping at stores.
Hassan said that she believes that electronics will be amongst the most purchased item online because consumers often don’t feel the need to come into physical contact with an electronic item prior to buying. Courts, she added, is a trusted brand and consumers can look forward to the same quality of goods and customer service available in stores, online.
Hire purchase, Hassan said, will not be available to online users but has not been completely ruled out by the company.
She expects this new feature to have a positive impact on the Guyanese market and revenues for Courts Guyana.
Hassan said the idea of online shopping was born about a year ago at the Unicomer headquarters in El Salvador. The idea however became a reality in November of this year because Courts felt the time was right to introduce the online shopping feature into the Caribbean market.
Courts stores are located in Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad, Dominica, Grenada, St. Lucia, Belize, Antigua, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Vincent and Guyana.
Courts Jamaica, introduced its new online shopping feature into the market on November 27.
