A 21 year old mother of two was last night stabbed to death following an argument allegedly with her reputed husband on the East Coast of Demerara, in what seems to be a continuation of the violent killings that plagued 2013. The dead woman was brought to the Georgetown Hospital about 20:00 hours. She was identified as Marcia Adams of 932 Paradise East Coast Demerara. She was said to have suffered multiple stab and chop wounds to her body. The alleged assailant is said to have turned himself over to the police at the Enmore Police Outpost and was up to press time in custody at the Cove and John Police Station, where he had been transferred.
Police confirmed that a relative of the dead woman also suffered chop wounds and up to last night was a patient of the Georgetown Hospital receiving treatment. Police said too that relatives were questioned with regards to the killing and had to provide statements.
