A passenger on an outgoing flight to Canada was yesterday arrested at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Timehri after a search unearthed a quantity of cocaine concealed in the false bottoms of his suitcases.
Police in a statement last evening said that at about 1345h yesterday ranks of the Police Narcotics Branch at the CJIA conducted a search on the bag of a passenger on an outgoing flight to Canada.
A quantity of cocaine was found concealed in the false bottoms of both of his suitcases.
The man has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
