Six months after she went missing, family members of Patriena Nicholson say that there is still no trace of the woman and it seems that she has vanished into thin air.
“We have no new information. Is like the rapture come and we ain’t know, people just vanishing into thin air. Is like an alien abduction,” a male relative of the woman said on Wednesday.
Nicholson, a Lance Corporal, 38, of Lot 44 Austin Street, Campbellville, was last seen on August 9 at the Republic Bank ATM at the Kitty Guyoil station.
In August last year, shortly after her disappearance, her sister Shellon had told this newspaper that the woman was given time off by the Officer in Charge at Police Headquarters to go home and tend to some chores. According to Shellon, Patriena left the area around 3.15 pm dressed in a brown top, blue jeans and black sandals.
The woman said that her sister has been living with her for the past three months and had never disappeared before.
Asked if her sister had any grievances with anyone, Shellon said her sister was once assaulted by an ex-boyfriend, and a report was made.
