The Ministry of Education this evening said that 12 schools in Georgetown and one in Region Three will remain closed tomorrow January 15, 2014 as a result of severe rainfall which has caused flooding of their compounds. The schools to remain closed tomorrow are as follows:

2. East Ruimveldt Secondary
3. The Bishops’ High
4. Queenstown Secondary
5. St. Rose’s High
6. St. Ambrose Primary
7. St. Gabriel’s Primary
8. St. Agnes Primary
9. Comenius Primary
10. St. Sidwell’s Primary
11. South Road Nursery
12. Happy Hearts Nursery
Region # 3
Vreed-en-Hoop Secondary
The Ministry of Education is monitoring the situation, and will provide further information about the state of the schools as additional information is received. The Ministry will alert parents, teachers and students as to when sessions can be resumed at these schools.
