City magistrates will resume sitting at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court building, Avenue of the Republic and Brickdam, with effect from Monday, January 20.
This is according to a notice was issued by acting Chancellor of the Judiciary, Justice Carl A Singh, OR, CCH on Thursday last.
Courts one, two, three, five, eight and nine were relocated to the former Globe Trust building, 92 Middle Street in 2011. The courts were relocated to facilitate repairs to the Avenue of the Republic building.
