NEW YORK, CMC – Legendary West Indies cricketers Sir Clive Lloyd and Michael Holding are among cricket luminaries announced in a recently established Honorary Advisory Board of the American Cricket Federation.
Sir Clive, a former West Indies captain andWisden Cricketer of the Year, is the latest addition to the Board which also comprised of Holding, Ian Chappell, Alvin Kallicharan, Damien Martyn, Nathan Bracken, Stuart MacGill and Niall O’Brien.
“As someone who has always taken a keen interest in the success of cricket in the United States, it gives me great pleasure to see the positive developments coming from theAmerican Cricket Federation. The ACF’s leadership and its member leagues point the way to a brighter future, and I am happy to give them my full support, and to join its Honorary Advisory Board,” Lloyd said.
Under Lloyd’s leadership, the West Indies appeared in three consecutive World Cup finals, winning twice. The ACF anticipates that Lloyd will bring this same winning attitude to the ACF Honorary Advisory Board.
