The construction worker who was injured by a pile of zinc sheets, he was meant to replace at the Gafoor’s Complex in Houston, East Bank Demerara, on the 12th January, sustained an injured spine and fractured skull and left upper cheekbone.
A relative of Yajendra Lall, communicated to Stabroek News, that the 19-year-old did not only sustain a broken left leg in three places. Relatives have been updated by doctors on his other injuries. The relative further mentioned that Lall is on standby for surgery before the January 24 date he was previously given.
The man’s mother, said that her son has been crying out for pains in his back. She added that Lall even contracted a fever on Sunday. However, the fever has since been reduced.
Lall was knocked unconscious by a pile of zinc sheets on Sunday January, 12, at Gafoor’s Complex Houston, East Bank Demerara, where he was one of the workers hired to replace zinc sheets.
