The final of the Mayor’s 79th birthday anniversary seven-a-side inter-ward knockout football tournament will take place this Sunday at the Den Amstel Community ground, West Coast Demerara.
In the feature contest set to commence at 17:00hrs, home side Den Amstel will face off with the star studded North East La Penitence outfit in what promises to be an exciting West Demerara versus Georgetown affair.
The opening matchup at 15:00hrs will witness Seawall FC coming up against the Mayor’s All-Stars Juniors in a 90 minute exhibition encounter. The eventual tournament winners is set to receive $100,000, the championship trophy and hampers donated by Ricks and Sari Agro Industries while the runners-up will pocket $50,000, the second place trophy and hampers from Ricks and Sari Agro Industries.
