Banks Beer tournament winners receive prizes

In excess of $10M was handed over to the 32 competing teams of the GFA/Banks Beer Tournament which concluded on New Year’s Day when the official presentation ceremony was held last night at the Banks DIH Limited Sports Club, Thirst Park.

Winners of the tournament, Slingerz FC which defeated Santos FC 3-2 in the action packed final at the Providence National Stadium pocketed $4M, the league trophy and the Champions trophy.

Santos FC took home $2.5M, medals and the first runner up trophy.
