Jason Fraser, the restaurant employee who was shot to the abdomen last Saturday during an attempted robbery by a lone gunman is on the road to recovery.
Fraser, 29, of Lot 57 Robb Street is in a stable condition at the Georgetown Public Hospital Male Surgical ward.
He was shot around 10.15 am on Saturday when a lone gunman entered the Mexican Grille on Water Street. Fraser was confronted by the gunman, who gained entrance through a side door of the business, which was not open as yet.
A scuffle ensued between the two men during which Fraser, a supervisor at restaurant, was shot. He was subsequently taken to GPH, where a surgery was performed to remove the bullet from his lower left abdomen.
The bullet was said to have missed his vital organs.
