Moore, who said he is a miner, explained to Magistrate Sewnarine-Beharry that he was selling a SIM card he got from a friend, who was recently released from jail, when the police intercepted him. He said he was told that the item he was selling was the property of Chesney. Moore, after explaining himself, begged the Chief Magistrate to be lenient with him. “The remand does be too long. So I begging yuh for a lil thing,” Moore uttered.

Subsequently, the Chief Magistrate granted Moore $45,000 bail with no objection from Prosecutor Michael Grant. The case was transferred to the Mahdia Magistrate’s Court, where it will be called again on April 14.
