Recent showers once again forced the organisers to postpone last weekend’s proposed start of the Georgetown Cricket Association’s (GCA) Hadi’s World Incorporated first division and the Noble House Seafood’s second division two-day competitions.
The two competitions were scheduled to simultaneously bowl off the previous weekend but the GCA was forced to reschedule its fixtures due to the unavailability of the various grounds for several reasons.
GCA Competitions Chairman Shaun Massiah in an invited comment yesterday said that the weather will ultimately determine when the competitions will commence.
The Hadi’s World Incorporated 2-day competition will see the Georgetown Cricket Club opposing Everest Cricket Club at Bourda; the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) will host Police Sports Club at Queenstown; Transport Sports Club will tackle Gandhi Youth Organisation at Eve Leary and the Guyana National Industrial Corporation (GNIC) will play Malteenoes Sports Club at the Everest Cricket Club ground, Camp Road.
In the Noble House Seafood’s second division competition, Muslim Youth Organisation (MYO) will play GNIC at GNIC, Malteenoes SC will oppose DCC at Malteenoes, Everest CC will play Transport SC at MYO, Sophia CC will take on GCC at Gandhi Youth Organisation (GYO), UG will play Police SC at Turkeyen and the Guyana Defence Force will oppose GYO at Camp Ayanganna.
