The Ministry of Public Works will host its fourth engineering conference in collaboration with the University of Guyana today at the Guyana International Conference Centre.
A release from the ministry said that the conference will be held under the theme ‘Building Guyana’s Future, Step by Step.’
It said that the event will bring together a wide cross-section of local and international experts and innovators in the field of engineering, road safety, renewable energy and maritime administration. Hundreds of engineering professionals, contractors, consultants, supplier and students will also be in attendance.
The technical sessions will include presentations on a number of developmental projects in Guyana. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with the presenters and policy makers.
The feature address will be given by President Donald Ramotar.
The release said that registration will begin at 8.00am and the opening session will commence at 8.30am. The technical sessions will continue until 5.00pm.
