with Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) and has been undergoing treatment at various hospitals over the past year.

MRSA is a bacterium which is responsible for several difficult-to-treat infections in humans that is resistant to antibiotics usually used to treat it, according to Wikipedia.

The child’s mother, Sandra Seepersaud, had exhausted all efforts and finances accessing treatment for her and had made a public appeal for assistance to purchase a special foot brace from health officials in Trinidad and Tobago and for money to cover the cost of travelling. The company said Caribbean Airlines responded to Seepersaud’s plea providing three plane tickets.

DeSinco provided the necessary funds to purchase the foot brace and for accommodation for the family in Trinidad.
