Dear Editor,
Please permit me the opportunity to respond to a letter penned by Mr Bevon Currie dated Thursday, February 13 under the caption ‘Vanessa Kissoon was treated with disrespect by decision-makers in APNU.’
To the statement “the deafening silence of the National Chairman of the GYSM” I take this opportunity to inform or to remind Mr Currie that the People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR) has several forums for members and arms of the party like the Guyana Youth and Student Movement (GYSM) to vent disappointment and or dissatisfaction with decisions made by the party, forums like the party’s General Council and/or its Central Executive Committee ‒ on the latter the GYSM has six members. We (the PNCR) do not subscribe to public brawls via the media to vent or pontificate, but rather ours is a more disciplined and mature approach using the mechanisms and forums that the party’s constitution provides.
Yours faithfully,
Christopher Anderson Jones, MP
Chairman
Guyana Youth
and Student Movement
