Students from three schools at Bush Lot, West Coast Berbice as well as in other areas are now benefiting from a repainted crossing, compliments of the Bush Lot United Sports Club (BLUSC).
President of the club, Robby Saywack and vice-president, Fazal Mohood supported members of the Bush Lot New Beginning, New Generation and Rising Stars teams, whose ages range from eight to 22, to conduct the exercise.
Saywack said the activity which was carried out in observance of the country’s 44th Republic anniversary would also benefit the entire community.
He said the paint had faded at the crossing and that the sprucing up was timely.
The club expressed gratitude to Regional Chairman, Bindrabhan Bisnauth for assisting with the paint.
Members also thanked the police for “doing an excellent job in controlling the traffic and for their co-operation in making the venture a success.”
