An officer of the Probation & Social Services Department, Region Five was honoured and somewhat emotional at the send-off he received last Friday as he hung up his gloves.
Floyd Rudder may have called it a day, but his former colleagues have already warned that they would still be “calling you and look forward to your help.”
At a simple farewell ceremony, Rudder said he felt special with the love he received in Region Five.
He had looked forward to his retirement but “would always remember the good treatment I had in the region… and everyone for being so kind and understanding.”
Staff members and other special invitees from the region joined with Senior Probation & Social Services officer, Dollette Nicholson in wishing Rudder well in his new phase in life.
They also spoke of the selfless duties he performed and said they enjoyed the last few years before his retirement that he spent working with them.
