Suspecting a virulent strain of dengue or Influenza, former President Bharrat Jagdeo left for the United States on Friday to seek a prognosis on a bout of illness that has left him weakened.
Sources close to Jagdeo said that he had seen a local doctor after he took ill but was advised to seek further medical checks to determine the strain of the virus and to receive necessary treatment as he was not responding well to treatment given here. He flew via a charter to Miami, Florida.
