The Guyana Power and Light (GPL) has planned a major overhaul of its No 1 Wartsila engine at Anna Regina from Thursday which will cause a number of scheduled power outages.
According to a press release, the overhaul will be done in keeping with the manufacturers’ recommendations as part of GPL’s maintenance programme.
From Thursday February 27 to Sunday March 9 there will be scheduled power outages from 5 pm to 10 pm, on alternate days from Onderneeming to Supenaam and from Devonshire Castle to Charity.
Customers are advised to pay keen attention to the schedule. GPL apologises for the inconvenience caused.
