Dhieranidranauth Somwaru was Saturday returned unopposed to head the Guyana Cricket Umpires Council (GCUC) at the organisation’s biannual general meeting at the Georgetown Cricket Club.
First Class umpire Nigel Duguid is the secretary while former test umpire Eddie Nichols is the treasurer.
Shannon Crawford was returned to his vice president post while Arleigh Rutherford is the new assistant secretary/treasurer.
Zaheer Mohamed will serve as Public Relations Officer. The committee members are Heuvel Cunha, Zabeer Zakier, Dawchand Nagassar and M. Yosef-Yisrael.
