Randolph Edwards of Plaisance, East Coast Demerara is slowly recovering at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) after being stung by Africanised bees on Saturday afternoon.
His sister Beverly Edwards said that he was taken from Accident and Emergency (A&E) Unit at GPH on Saturday night and transferred to the male surgical ward where he is a patient and is slowly to recovering.
It is uncertain when he will be released.
Edwards was about to weed his yard after he had finished operating his horse cart, when he was attacked by a swarm of bees. He had just started up the brush cutter when the bees struck. He was stung all over his entire body by the bees who became disturbed by the noise from machine.
