The man who was shot in the groin by a gunman during a robbery bid at Ogle on February 18, was released from the Georgetown Public Hospital on Saturday.
No one has been arrested in this crime and Earl Deokarran, 21, of Ogle Front, East Coast Demerara, said that police officers who visited him in hospital on Friday told him that they have some leads in the case that they are following.
He said that he could not recognize the shooter because when he was shot his vision became blurred.
Deokarran was shot after the attacker attempted to snatch the gold chain his friend Travis Edwards was wearing and he tried to prevent him.
After Deokarran collapsed on the ground, a resident of the nearby Pradoville community assisted in taking him to the hospital and getting the police.
