Shawn Gadadders, on trial for stealing peppers from a Bourda Market vendor, will spend the next six months in jail after finally admitting to the crime.
His admission came during cross-examination by Mayor and City Council Constabulary Prosecutor James Garnett in a city court yesterday.
Gadadders, who has no fixed place of abode, had initially maintained his innocence when he was charged with the December 18 theft. He was accused of stealing a basket of peppers from Rajee Seechand at Bourda Market on Robb Street. It was alleged that he saw Seechand’s basket of peppers,
