Dear Editor,
I have noticed the works going on in the different streets of Georgetown and I welcome these.
However, what has also drawn my attention besides the new development in the city is the absence of health and safety regulations to deal with problems arising from the various materials on site.
As a pedestrian having dust and sand blown on you is a particular concern. At the moment there is a project going on in Wellington Street; however, the problems arising from the materials on this site could be solved. I suggest that water be applied to the materials as a solution to the problems.
I do hope that this issue gains the attention of those in authority to protect the health and safety of all.
Yours faithfully,
Lennox A Whyte
