Dellon Joseph and Javed Saywack combined to bowl Bush Lot United Sports Club to victory against Reliance East Canje Cricket Club in a match reduced to 30 overs a side on Saturday at Bush Lot ground, West Coast Berbice.
Bush Lot won the toss and invited Reliance to take first strike.
After being 22-2 in the 8th over with pacer Imran Khan picking up both wickets, Joseph and Saywack combined to take seven wickets to wreck the middle order, routing the team from Canje for 122.
Top scorer K. Ranga was the only batsman to put up any resistance scoring 25 as Joseph, 4-30 from five overs and skipper Saywack, 3-28 ripped through the batting.
Bush Lot United reached their target with seven wickets in hand inside the 22nd over with wicket keeper and opening batsman Yuvendra Budhu leading the way with a well-constructed 63 from 57 deliveries including three fours and a massive six.
He was well supported by Berbice U15 player Kris Ramnarine who made a patient 16 from 48 deliveries.
Bowling for Reliance A. Ramchand, H. Jai and D. Gopaul took a wicket each.
