New Amsterdam/Canje clashes with West Berbice

The Berbice Cricket Board (BCB)/National Communication Network (NCN) Under 15 inter-zone two-day tournament bowls off today at Cumberland ground from 9:30 a.m.

In the first game West Berbice will take on New Amsterdam/Canje at the Cumberland Ground in Canje while defending champions Lower Corentyne will clash with Upper Corentyne on Thursday and Friday at the Albion Sports complex.

Public Relations Officer of the Berbice Cricket Board Hilbert Foster stated that the junior selection committee headed by Leslie Solomon will select the Berbice Under 15 team for the upcoming GCB Inter County tournament based on performances during this tournament and the ongoing Tenelec under 15 inter club tournament. The winners of the two semifinals will clash in the final next week while the two losing teams will do clash in the third place battle.

All matches start at 10am and Foster disclosed that all junior inter zone matches would be played for two days as the BCB strives to expose youth players to a longer version of the game.
