The inaugural Hadi’s Worldwide Incorporated Medal Play Golf tournament will commence this Saturday at the Lusignan Gold Club on the East Coast of Demerara.
Hadi’s Worldwide International is part of the Mohammed group of Companies and is an active supporter of social programmes in depressed communities, a release stated.
According to a representative of the company, the corporation focuses on poverty alleviation but is happy to be associated with sporting activities as well.
Participants in the event will be competing for the first, second and third best net awards as well as the best gross and nearest to the pin accolades. There will also be a special prize for the best female contestant.
Given the excellent current weather and course condition, the field is wide open with last week’s Morris Solomon Accounting Firm tournament winner Brian Hackett, Colin Ming, and Mark Lashley all expected to produce a good showing.
However keen competition is expected to be provided from Gavin Todd, Clifford Reis, Alfred Mentore, Ian Gouveia, Munaf Arjune, Pur Persaud, Bholaram Deo, Andre Cummings, Roy Cummings, Matti Weslin, Jack Harry, Sam Harry, Naro Dhanpat, Troy Cadogan, George Bulkan, Kishan Bacchus, David Mohamad and Jerome Khan.
There will also be fierce competition between Christine Sukhram, Joaan Deo, Shonella Webster and Juliet Prince for the best female player prize.
