Lusignan and Ogle B under-15 teams both secured victories on their home turf when the East Coast Cricket Board (ECCB) Under-15 and second division competition continued last weekend.
Last Saturday at Lusignan, the home team defeated Ogle by 70 runs. Lusignan made 169-8 from 40 overs with 45 extras. Arvin Gangadin scored 21, Robin Williams, 20; Shane Ford 3-17 and Alex Chunilall 2-28. Ogle made 99 all-out with 35 extras, Bhesham Sharma 20, Totaram Motiram 3-15 and Devin Singh 2-16.
Meanwhile, on Sunday at Ogle ground, Ogle B beat Enterprise B by 26 runs. Batting first, Ogle registered 228-7 from 40 overs, with Khemraj Dindyal 73 and Khemraj Jaikarran 66 being the principal scorers. N Ullah took 2 wickets for Enterprise B who in return were bowled out for 202 in the 38th over. Vivian Albert top scored with a quick fire 41 from 30 balls, receiving support from Shailendra Mohabir 20.
Bowling for Ogle B, Akshay Rampersaud finished with figures of 3-40 from 7 overs while Andre Gomes took 2-43 from his 8 overs.
The ECCB 40 overs Trophy Competition continues this weekend for first and second division teams from the Upper East Coast to Lower East Coast, along with its U-15 competition.
U-15 Fixtures
Tomorrow the Lusignan Cricket Club will come up against the Golden Grove Cricket Club at the Lusignan Community Centre while the Ogle Cricket Club will play Enterprise Cricket Club at the Ogle Community Centre.
On Sunday, Second Division Teams will do battle; Bravados Cricket Club will face off against the Mahaica Sports Club at Unity Community Centre and the Plaisance Cricket Club will match up with Mon Repos Cricket Club at Ogle Community Centre. Matches start at 11am both days.
In the only First Division match set for Sunday, the Hope Cricket Club will play against the Enterprise Cricket Club at Better Hope Community Centre. The match starts at 11am.
