Dear Editor,
It’s a shame for the Republic Bank, New Amsterdam Branch to treat its customers the way of having empty ATM Machines on Sunday. Customers, including myself, turned up in their large numbers yesterday only to find that the machines had no money!
This is ridiculous. I am urging this bank’s headquarters in Trinidad and Tobago to investigate these instances since this was not the first time they ran out of money, so to speak. I enquired from the security guard as to when money will be available in the ATM and she replied that it “may” be in the afternoon.
Additionally, it is a common sight at this branch and at Rose Hall Town branch as well to see long lines of persons waiting to use the ATM. Is this the way this bank treats its customers? This suffering and long wait to use the ATM needs to stop immediately. Republic Bank, I believe, is a company of standards and in this day and age needs to review these practices that their customers are made to endure, especially the branches in Guyana.
