One week after she was struck down on the Unity Public Road, Mahaica, 14-year-old Esther Mohammed is recovering in the High Dependency Unit of the Georgetown Public Hospital.
Mohammed, a student of La Bonne Intention Secondary and who hails from the Plaisance Squatting Area was crossing the road at Unity when she was struck down by a vehicle. She sustained severe head injuries and her hip was broken in two places as a result.
Her grandmother told Stabroek News yesterday that she was looking improved.
