Minister of Transport Robeson Benn is expected to be given a report on an incident that allegedly occurred at the Control Tower, Timehri a little after midnight on March 8 last. Benn told Stabroek News that a draft of the report was completed but that the complete report is expected sometime today.
A statement from the Ministry of Works had said that the investigation would focus on the operational procedures and code of conduct as it relates to Air Traffic Control Services being provided by the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority.
Stabroek News understands that on March 8, a Caribbean Airlines flight, BW 425, landed three minutes behind schedule as a Tower Control Employee had left his post after complaining that he was unwell.
