The body of 39-year-old Andrew Miguel, who had toppled into the Pomeroon River on Wednesday last from the Farmers Wharf at Charity was on Saturday found by relatives.
Over the past few days following the incident, the search for the body of the man had intensified by both the police and relatives.
According to reports, the body was found in the vicinity of Dredge Creek, Upper Pomeroon River around 8 am.
Miguel, a labourer who worked at Teneze Ferme, Lower Pomeroon River, had travelled to Charity on Wednesday with his wife Rose to shop and after he had sent her ahead of him, consumed alcohol and was reportedly intoxicated when he toppled into the Pomeroon River.
