Pele FC defeated Bakewell Topp XX 2-0 to seal a quarterfinal berth when the Fruta Conquerors Football Club Namilco sponsored knockout festival commenced on Sunday at the Tucville Community Centre ground.
Calvin Shepherd almost pushed the Georgetown side into the early lead in the 22nd minute of play but his left footed strike from outside the centre of the box, flew narrowly over the crossbar.

Pele would seal their quarterfinal spot in the 61st minute compliments of a powerfully struck left sided freekick from captain Shemroy Arthur.
Stepping up take the spot kick following an infringement, Arthur would unleash a thunderous right footed effort which struck the hands of the Topp XX custodian and rolled into the back of the net.
In the opening fixture, Mocha based outfit Riddim Squad FC edged Santos FC by a 1-0 score line compliments of a 80th minute conversion by Amos Ramsay.
