A Guyana Police Force officer is in a critical state at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) after his vehicle crashed into a donkey on the West Coast Berbice public road yesterday.
Joel Blair, 24, of Hopetown village, West Coast Berbice was rushed to the Mahaicony Hospital around 7:00 am yesterday after his car slammed into a donkey at Airy Hall, Mahaicony. He was on his way to work at police headquarters.
He was later transferred to the emergency unit of the GPHC. Speaking to Stabroek News, his wife Kesha said she received a call from a neighbour who broke the news to her. She said she immediately rushed to the hospital where he was taken. Blair remains in a critical state at the hospital, where his condition is being monitored by doctors.
