Timehri Panthers are once again league leaders of the Stag Beer/East Bank Football Association (EBFA) Division One League, after crushing Herstelling FC by a 5-1 margin on Sunday at the Grove Community Centre ground.
Lawrence Steele and Collis Messiah led the victors with dual doubles. Steele found the back of the net in the 35th and 54th minutes while Messiah netted in the quick succession in the 62nd and 66th minutes.
Completing the score line was the Soesdyke side was Rommel Myles in the 69th minute. On target in a losing effort was Devon Winter in the 40th minute.
In the second fixture of the doubleheader, Grove Hi-Tech defeated Kuru-Kururu Warriors by a 4-1 margin compliments of a Dominic Garnett hat trick on either side of halftime in the 27th, 37th and 64th minutes.
Netting the final goal for the winners was Lloyd Matthews. On target for the losers in the 9th minute was Ryan Scott.
