The Guyana Amateur Powerlifting Federation (GAPF) will open its 2014 competition season with the annual Junior and Novices Powerlifting competition today at the National Gymnasium.
The event is scheduled to attract the cream of the country’s young and first time lifters.
Weigh-in time is 7am and the competition begins at 10am.
There will also be a novelty bench press competition for athletes over and under 200lbs.
Sponsors for the competition includes Fitness Express, Ansa McAL, The United Mega Store and others.
Admission is $500.
