Soesdyke Falcons edged Mocha Champs by a 3-2 score line when the East Bank Football Association (EBFA) Stag Beer sponsored division one league continued on Sunday at the Grove Community Centre ground.
Kelcey Benson opened the scoring for the Soesdyke side through a second minute strike. Colin McLean would increase their lead as he found the back of the net in the 9th minute.
Travis Anthony would pull one back for the Mocha based side, netting through a 37th minute conversion. Wendell Joseph would level the score line as he etched his name on the scorer’s sheet two minutes later.
However Soesdyke would net what would prove to be the go-ahead winner in the 48th minute as McLean sealed his brace. In the other matchup, Agricola Triangle and Diamond United played to a 1-1 draw.
Leonardo Canton gave Diamond the early lead compliments of a third minute strike. Agricola would earn a vital point as they levelled the score line in the 33rd minute through Winston Rawlins.
